EAST ROCHESTER - If someone in Eastside is missing a goat it's waiting for you at the Stratham SPCA.

Rochester Police Officer Noah McCann corralled the critter on Saturday after dispatch got a call for a goat on the loose in the area of Highland Street in East Rochester.

The caller thought the goat might have been injured in a crash, but when Officer McCann arrived on scene he found the goat hadn't been hurt.

Due to his training, Officer McCann was able to build a rapport with the goat and eventually took him into custody, according to a post on the Rochester Police Facebook Page.

The unidentified goat was transported to the NHSPCA in Stratham for protective custody, police said.

If anyone knows who the goat belongs to, please contact the NHSPCA in Stratham at (603) 772-2921.
