ROCHESTER - Peter A. Cronshaw, 82, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, died peacefully at his home on March 22, 2025.

The second of five children, Peter was born Sept. 8, 1942 to Thomas and Laura (Stackpole) Cronshaw, in Exeter. He attended Exeter High School, graduating in 1960. After serving in the Army, Peter attended the University of New Hampshire, where he earned his BS in Accounting in 1966.

Peter dedicated over 30 years to his work at General Electric in Somersworth, in the finance department. After taking early retirement, he went on to work as a courier for Service Credit Union, a job which he truly loved, as it allowed him to work with people instead of numbers.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Susanne (Cote) of Hampton Falls; his two sons: Scott Cronshaw and wife Jennifer (Niles) of Strafford, and James Cronshaw and wife Kristine (Marchacos) of Barrington; five grandchildren: Lauren, Haley, Emelia, Kristopher and Dominic; his younger brother David Cronshaw and wife Debra of Johnson City, Tenn.; and sister Kathleen Sullivan and husband David, of Sarasota, Fla; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peter is predeceased by his brother Paul Cronshaw, and sister Suellen Aines.
Peter was, above all else, a wonderful human being. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and was generous to all that he met. His sense of humor and sharp wit were ever present, and always appreciated. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and was well known for sharing his enjoyment of quote books with everyone. He will be dearly missed.
