ROCHESTER - This year's Rochester Fair will have more food options, including a local person who will be serving poutine, a traditional Quebec dish made with french fries, cheese curds and gravy.

Fair Director Nancy Gilbert said she wanted to increase the number of food vendors after some complained last September about the limited number of options available.

Also returning to the fair will be Winfrey's Homemade Fudge and Hand Crafted Chocolates, a longtime fair favorite.

The fair begins Thursday at 3 p.m. It will run for two consecutive Thursday-Sunday stints ending on Sept. 22.
