ROCHESTER - Raymond Arthur Brown, known to all as Brownie, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, after a long period of declining health.
Raymond was born on October 29, 1936, in Newburyport, Mass., and was raised in Hampton, N.H.
Raymond joined the Marines in 1954 where he served in the Korean War.

He worked as a marine mechanic for his entire adult life. Boats were his whole life.
He had resided in the Rochester area with his special friend Nancy Whitehouse for the past 25 years.
Raymond was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Brown; parents, Charles and Sylvia Brown; and his brothers, Warren Brown and Benson Brown.
He leaves behind his daughters, Rhonda Brown and Nancy Brown; grandchildren, Raymond, Benjamin, Anna, Mathew and Andrew; great -granddaughter, Amelia Phan; his sister Nancy Jullian, and his special friend Nancy Whitehouse and dear friend Rick Perreault.
