DOVER - Red's Race for a Better Community begins a 9 a.m. in front of Dover City Hall.
The race is organized by - and will benefit - local nonprofit organizations that provide services in Strafford County.
The event includes a 5-mile timed run and a 2.4-mile untimed walking course, held simultaneously as the third event of the 2025 Dover Race Series.
Both the running and walking courses end at Henry Law Park.
The race will temporarily close several streets
Between 8:45 and 9:15 a.m., Central Avenue (NH Route 108) will be closed in both directions from Silver to Washington Streets to accommodate the start of the race. Additional brief closures or traffic delays will be in effect on Court Street, Middle Road, Back Road and Henry Law Avenue between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Henry Law Avenue will be closed from Washington to Hanson Streets between 8:45 and 10:30 a.m.
Parking restrictions will be in effect on race day in posted areas on Henry Law Avenue and Central Avenue. Event participants may park on downtown streets, in the Orchard Street municipal parking garage, or in other downtown municipal lots. Metered parking is enforced on Saturdays.
