ROCHESTER - The Rochester Museum of Fine Arts will present three new exhibitions this fall, featuring works by Forrest Elliott, Haley Johnson, and Nick Paradis.
"Painting from Within" by Elliott explores the dynamic relationships between color, memory, and intuition. "Painting, for me, is both a visual and energetic practice -- an exploration of color, light, and movement that extends beyond the boundaries of place or identity," says Elliott. A reception will be held on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at Back Hill Beer Co. in the historic Gonic Mill.

"Anchors in Memory" by Haley Johnson will be on view in the Carnegie Gallery at the Rochester Public Library, Anchors in Memory highlights Johnson's connection to wildlife and the outdoors, shaped through residencies and exhibitions across New England. The show runs through Dec. 5, with a public reception on Nov. 1 from 1-3 p.m.

"HUMAN DOOR" by Nick Paradis will be featured in the Bernier Room at the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center. Paradis says, "These works were created between 2015 and 2017 with the intention of exploring perspective and understanding the human condition through a subjective lens." The exhibition continues through Oct. 31, with a reception on Oct. 4 from 1-3 p.m.

The museum gratefully acknowledges the support of the City of Rochester, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Back Hill Beer Co., Creative Guts Podcast, and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
