DOVER - A Rochester man has been indicted on separate burglary and theft charges in two days in December.
Shawn Canney, 40, of Summer Street, is accused of stealing items from the North Main Street Hannaford on Dec. 29.
He was previously convicted of similar crimes in Plaistow District Court in April 2013 and Brentwood District Court in March 2013.
Since he had two previous convictions, his current charges are elevated to a Class B felony, punishable by up to seven years in a state prison.
He is also accused of breaking into a business on Industrial Drive in Rochester on Dec. 30 "with the purpose to commit the crime of criminal mischief," according to court documents.
Burglary is also a Class B felony punishable by a maximum sentence of up to seven years.
The Strafford County indictments were handed down on March 20 and released to the public earlier this week.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that the grand jury found enough evidence to move forward to trial.
