Rochester man gets seven years for October police chase that began in Exeter

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man will spend three and a half to seven years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and other charges in connection with a police chase in October.

Donald Nisbet, 39, of Phillips Way, Rochester, fled an Oct. 22 traffic stop in Epping around 8:40 p.m., then drove north on Route 125 until State Police were able to dismantle his vehicle with the help of a deflation device at the intersection of the Spaulding Turnpike in Rochester.

The vehicle had been stolen and was being sought in connection with a firearms theft. Nisbet, who was wanted on warrants involving theft and bail violations, drew additional charges of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and receiving stolen property.

Nesbit can get some of his time suspended if her successfully completes Strafford County's drug court. The receiving stolen property will also be fully suspended for five years after his release from state prison.

Multiple agencies were involved in the October pursuit including the Epping, Lee, Barrington, Farmington and Rochester police departments and the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
