Rochester man hurt, woman cited in afternoon crash

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was injured in a two-car crash Thursday on Old Dover Road near the intersection of Tibbetts Road.

A preliminary investigation by police indicated that Loraine Bonia, 59, of Middleton, N.H., entered Old Dover Road from Tibbetts Road in a 2004 GMC Yukon when she struck a northbound 2003 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Glen Fieldsend, 39, of Rochester.  

Both vehicles suffered considerable damage and were towed from the scene as a result of the crash, which occurred around 6 p.m.

Fieldsend was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.  

Old Dover Road was shut down to a single lane during the investigation.  

Bonia was summonsed on scene for failing to yield.
