Rochester man with lengthy criminal history pleads guilty to trafficking fentanyl

CONCORD - A Rochester man pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to sell fentanyl, the U.S. Attorneys Office announced.

According to court documents and statements made in court, in July 2021, Craig Wiggin, 44, conspired with other individuals to sell approximately 225 grams of fentanyl to an individual cooperating with the FBI and to an FBI Task Force Officer, who was acting in an undercover capacity as a drug customer.

The drug sales occurred at various locations in Rochester. Wiggin is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 23 following a presentencing investigation.

The case is being investigated by the FBI's New Hampshire Major Offender Task Force and the New Hampshire State Police's Narcotics Investigations Unit. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer C. Davis.

Wiggin has a long history of brushes with the law. In 1999 Wiggin was convicted of felonious sexual assault on a child.

He was found guilty of felony theft in Barrington in August 2013. While in prison, he was accused of trafficking drugs to fellow inmates and later convicted.
