ROCHESTER - This summer, the Rochester Recreation Department will offer a six-week indoor lacrosse program at the Rochester Arena, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels.

The program is designed for athletes ranging from first-graders to graduating seniors who are looking to stay active and get in their final reps of the season. High school girls will play games on Fridays beginning June 27, from 4:45-5:45 p.m., followed by high school boys from 6-7 p.m.

Younger athletes will participate in a skills-and-drills-focused format. Sessions for grades 1-4 will take place on Sundays starting June 29, from 4:45-5:45 p.m., with grades 5-8 following from 6-7 p.m.

All participants are required to bring their own lacrosse stick and sneakers suitable for playing on a concrete surface. Full protective gear is required for players in grades 5-12, consistent with high school boys' and girls' lacrosse standards. For grades 1-4, boys must wear helmets and gloves, while girls are required to wear protective goggles.
