Sanford veterans' groups set spaghetti dinner benefit

SANFORD - Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 1044 of Sanford, Maine and the Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America (AVVA) will be hosting a fund-raising event on Sat., Aug. 30 from 5- 7 p.m.

The “Family Style” Spaghetti Dinner will be held at St. Ignatius Parish Hall on 25 Riverside Avenue in Sanford.

The menu will consist of homemade sauce meatballs and spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and dessert.

There will also be a raffle held with the first prize being  42 inch Flat screen TV, second prize a $200.00 gift certificate to Cabela's Sporting in Scarborough and a variety of other prizes being offered.

Admission prices will be $ 6.00 for adults and children under 12 years of age $3.00.

All proceeds will be used to carry out the chapter’s mission of providing services for veterans of all eras.

 Tickets are available in advance and at the door. 

 The general public is cinvited to attend.
