Shannon Foster gets her passport stamped 'winner'

ROCHESTER - Shannon Foster of 1B Chestnut St. was announced as the 2014 winner of the "Win The Window" Holiday Promotion.

Downtown businesses had offered an opportunity to win over $850 in certificates and merchandise this holiday season when participants visited their shops to get their "Passport to Downtown" stamped. The decorated window and entry blanks were located at 56 North Main St. in downtown Rochester. Completed forms were entered into a drawing held on Tuesday for a winner take all award. The winning entry was drawn by 7 year old Haley Bisson, a Main Street volunteer who marched in the holiday parade.

Participating downtown businesses included: RiverStones Framing, Bella Fresca, Happy Pappy's Country Store, Collec-tiques, Mel Flanagan's Irish Pub & Café, Jetpack Comics, Vitoria Reeds Wedding & Formal Wear, Rochester Opera House, Skele-Tones, Studley Flower Gardens, Ladybug Flowers, and The Garage at the Governor's Inn.

"Win The Window" offered prizes such as gift cards for services, merchandise, and dining out.
