Somersworth man injured, arrested on suspended license in Estes Road crash

ROCHESTER - A Somersworth man driving with a suspended license was injured on Wednesday when his truck veered off Estes Road and struck a tree.

The single-car crash occurred on Estes Road in the area of Howard Brook Drive around 6:20 p.m. when police say John Turner, 50, was driving a Chevrolet 2500 headed east when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and hit a tree.

Turner was extricated from the vehicle by Rochester Fire and transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries. Estes Road was temporarily shut down.

Turner was subsequently arrested for operating after suspension, a violation level offense.
