ROCHESTER - A State Police K9 unit is credited with helping Rochester police corral a city man accused of burglarizing a Milton Road home.
The arrest unfolded around 5 p.m. Friday after dispatch got a report of a resident coming home and finding a male in his residence committing a burglary.
"The homeowner chased the suspect into a wooded area, and when police arrived at the scene, they set up a perimeter in a wooded area where the suspect was last seen," according to a statement from Rochester Police Capt. Jeremy Aucoin.
A State Police K-9 unit was called to the scene and quickly located the suspect, Michel Hussey, 51, no street address given, within the wooded area.
Hussey is accused of burglary for forced entry into the home, resisting arrest for fleeing from officers and receiving stolen property as he had property in his possession that was owned by the homeowner.
He remains held on no bail at Strafford County Jail.
