Sticker Shocker: Governor signs bill that eliminates annual car inspections

CONCORD - Granite Staters can take a sigh of relief today knowing they never having to worry again about paying for those yearly pesky vehicle inspections.

The budget bill signed into law by New Hampshire Go. Kelly Ayotte on Friday ended the annual sticker requirement.

The bill goes into effect next Jan. 31.

In addition, the provision that requires emissions testing will also be repealed in 2026.

As of now, however, all New Hampshire vehicles need an annual safety inspection.
