The fest that's the best: Lilac City fun fest has something for everyone plus fireworks

ROCHESTER - Saturday's annual Lilac Family Fun Festival will feature free kiddie rides, two bands, a Wildlife Encounter exhibit and a magic show culminating with what organizers promise is the biggest and best fireworks display in the Granite State.

The event will be held from 4-9 p.m. at the Spaulding High School football field and the adjacent James W. Foley Memorial Community Center.

There will also be food trucks, local vendors and family-friendly activities.

There is limited parking at the high school and community center, so shuttle service provided by COAST. Organizers encourage attendees to find parking downtown and take advantage of the shuttle pick-up and drop-off location at the Lilac Mall.

Other things attendees should know is no outside fireworks or sparklers are permitted. Also only service pets will be allowed.

Other things to know

No alcohol, smoking, tobacco products vaping, or illicit drugs.
Anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol will not be allowed on event grounds.
Follow the direction of event staff and law enforcement.
All rides are 'kiddie' rides and are intended for young children. Height restrictions will be enforced by ride staff.
