ROCHESTER - In these times as hate fills the air, it seems God's words, "Vengeance Is mine," are in process of being hijacked by man. There are polls indicating over 50 percent believe that assassinating President Trump is justified. Many American's now see owning a Tesla as a health hazard needing to be stopped by vandalism. Has this become the new norm for our country? What has happened to the common sense pillar of our American Republic?
Living through our current hateful turmoil I look back to the beginning of our Republic for answers. Seeing today's Republican v. Democrat war through the magnificent insight of Washington's Farewell Address, there is wisdom as to preserving good government. There is a challenge to today's trusted tenants of Americanism to stop the internal hate between parties. Our founding father's eloquent words, the eternal solution:
"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and and morality are indispensable supports."
Good advice still relevant today. Our foundation was built on individual, personal morality that flavored society with Christian values. Today, as a nation, if we do not reach back and reimplement biblical Christianity, we will continue to be torn apart. Today's moral climate is inviting national suicide.
Americans from each party need to fear the imminent danger continuing to divide our people that invites the tyranny described by G. Edward Griffin: "The nature of tyranny is like an arrow that goes in easy and pulls out with a piece of flesh." He offers the advice that: "Liberty must be stopped short of the liberty to destroy itself." Do you see in the mirror an image that reflects a personal morality of the Golden Rule advice of Mathew 7:12: " So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you ...?" Or, are you following the spirit of party as your god; a danger to our times and to posterity. Let's make America great by restoring the foundation that we are one nation under God.
