Tuesday public hearing will address school budget shortfall

ROCHESTER - The Rochester City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall relative to the following questions.

Citizen input is very much appreciated.

  • Whether the City Council should reconsider the FY25-26 School Budget following a reduction in State Adequacy Grant Funding
  • Whether there is a public benefit to granting the requested tax relief and, if so, the duration of any Discretionary Preservation Easement Tax Relief Incentive
  • Whether to appropriate $1,000,000 for the purpose of paying costs associated with the Bundle Bridge Project and/or whether to authorize the borrowing of $1,000,000, through the issuance of bonds and/or notes, and/or through other legal form(s) for the purposes of funding the expenditures incident to the implementation of the Project

Copies of the proposed Resolutions are available in the City Clerk's Office.
