PORTSMOUTH - Police are investigating the deaths of two people who jumped from two different bridges spanning the Piscataqua River on Wednesday less than two hours apart.
Troopers responded around 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a stopped car in the breakdown lane on the Interstate 95 northbound side of the Piscataqua River Bridge.
About 30 minutes later, an adult male was found in the river, police say. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
That death does not appear suspicious, according to a Thursday press release.
A second individual jumped from the Sarah Long Bridge a couple of hours later. Police are still searching for that person who has also not been identified.

This tory will be updated.
