Fourth of July accidents on New Hampshire roadways claimed the lives of two, including a Greenville woman who was a rider on a motorcycle that crashed in Alexandria.
She died around 5:40 p.m. when the motorcycle she was a passenger on, a 2007 Ducati, crashed on West Shore Road in Alexandria at the Bristol town line.
Megan Bouchard, 25, of Greenville, succumbed to injuries when the bike headed north failed to negotiate a curve, say police.
Bouchard was pronounced deceased at the scene.
While the preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash, all aspects of remain under investigation. The other crash occurred in Tamworth around 8:20 p.m. on Maple Road when the driver of a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck crashed into a tree.
Members of the Tamworth Fire Department arrived on scene and gave aid to the driver, who was then transported to an area hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash. A short time after arriving at the hospital, the driver was pronounced deceased.
All aspects of the crash also remain under investigation. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
