LEBANON - Two occupants of a pickup truck escaped serious injury on Monday when their vehicle rolled over on Lower Guinea Road.

The single-vehicle accident occurred around 5 p.m. in the area of 390 Lower Guinea.

The driver, a 31-year-old male from Rochester, was reportedly wearing his seat belt.

Both he and his passenger, a 27-year-old man from Somersworth, were able to climb out of the overturned 2007 Toyota Tacoma and refused transport to the hospital, according to a Lebanon Rescue press release.

Lower Guinea Road was closed to traffic for about an hour until the vehicle, which sustained extensive damage, was towed from the scene.

The Maine State Police are investigating the accident.
