ROCHESTER - Two local residents were injured on Tuesday when the vehicles they were driving collided near the Spaulding overpass on Farmington Road.

Emergency personnel got the call around 1:45 p.m. and found that David Gale, 48, of Somersworth, N.H., was driving a Toyota T100 westbound on Farmington Road while Richard Niles, 55, of Rochester, was operating a Ford F150 and had just exited the Spaulding Turnpike at exit 15.

The vehicles collided as they entered the intersection.

Gale and an adult passenger were both transported to Frisbie Hospital by EMS for what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

The Toyota also suffered heavy damage.

Both vehicles sustained extensive front end damage and were towed from the scene.

Police say neither alcohol nor speed appear to have played a role in the collision.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is encouraged to contact Officer Brandon Kimbrough at 603-330-7127.
