Updated: Pair nabbed in city smoke shop break-in

ROCHESTER - Two men were arrested today in an attempted break-in at Jimmy’s Smoke Shop on North Main Street.

According to police, officers responded to a burglary alarm at around 4:50 a.m. and arrested Douglas Moore, 25, a transient, for attempted burglary and Anthony Lewis, 23, of 16 Pine St., Apt. 9, Rochester, for criminal liability for the conduct of another.   

Both suspects were found near the smoke shop and after a short investigation taken into custody without incident, according to Rochester Police Captain Paul Toussaint.

Lewis was the lookout, Toussaint said.

 

Moore was held on cash bail of $3,500 and Lewis on cash bail of $5,000. Both men will face the charges later today at Rochester District Court.
