ROCHESTER - Rochester Rec and Arena announced recently it will hold a "Veteran's Time" on July 11 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Rochester Senior Activity Center.

The event will provide support to veterans by facilitating their registration with Veterans Affairs and offering re-evaluations and appointment scheduling for benefits.

The event is open to all veterans with representatives from the VA on hand.

"We believe it is essential for veterans to have easy access to the support they deserve," said Jerry Vermette, Veterans' Time volunteer. "You have to apply to get anything, so get registered."

The event is offered free of charge. Registration is required. Participants must bring proof of service, such as their DD214 form with an honorable discharge and dates of service. Call (603) 332-4120 or visit rec.rochesternh.gov for more information.

Visit the Senior Activity Center any prior Tuesday from 9 a.m.-noon for further information. The Senior Activity Center is located at 150 Wakefield Street, in Suite 10 of the James W. Foley Memorial Community Center.
