ROCHESTER - The DPW is alerting the pubic they will be working on infrastructure upgrades in the Union Street Parking Lot on Monday.

As part of this project, water service will be temporarily shut off in the Factory Court/Union Street Parking Lot area beginning at 6 a.m. It is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.

The shutdown will impact water service to properties located at 69-71 North Main St. and 59-63 North Main St. During this period, customers may experience little or no water pressure.

Following the restoration of service, some residents may notice air or discoloration in their water. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals that may become unsettled in the water lines during the work. Running a cold water tap briefly should help clear the water if discoloration occurs.

For questions or concerns, contact the Public Works at (603) 332-4096.
