ROCHESTER - Wayne Scott Breden, 78, died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a brief period of failing health.
Born May 20, 1946, in Marblehead, Mass., he was the son of Edward and Gloria (Pyburn) Breden.
Scott had worked for many years as a machine calibrator at Spaulding Composites, G.E. as a quality engineer and at Subcom as a quality inspector. He was a member of the Rochester Elks Lodge 1393 and enjoyed playing golf and spending winters in Florida. He also was a drummer for many years and loved traveling to islands.
Members of his family include his wife Rita (Desmarais) Breden of Rochester; his son Patrick Breden of Wildwood, Fla.; his grandchildren Ryan, Makaylah, and Austyn, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and he was fondly known as Uncle Pete as well.
He was predeceased by his stepdaughter Diane Johnson.
