To the editor:
Too many Americans do not realize how blessed our nation is because it was created upon the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This Independence Day, let us not allow hidden forces of subversion to continue targeting these foundational roots of our moral strength. The subtle encroachment of rewriters of history, the educational establishment, and the legacy media program the American mind with the fabrication that there is no God. Targeting our people of all moral persuasions, this enormous departure from God gained credibility.
For generations the pillars of Americanism have rotted at the foundation. Catherine Millard put her finger on the source of our people's lack of comprehension of this chronic evil agenda traveling under the radar of public opinion. In her 1991 bombshell book, "The Rewriting of American History," she asks: "Why have our people been so susceptible to this treasonous attack on our liberty?" Her simple yet brilliant answer, "Because a people who do not know from where they came also do not know where they are going."
Christopher Columbus did know from where he came. From his diary we learn, "It was the Lord who put it into my mind - I could feel His hand upon me - the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies...". Over many decades, disinformation has hidden this fact. Millard exposes this omission about Columbus being inspired by Christ. Going further, she sheds the light of truth on many other generational lies. Do you know that Queen Isabel of Spain had a strong Christian worldview? Did you know she was inspired to finance Columbus' precarious expedition because it was primarily for evangelistic reasons? Omitting facts is another form of lying. Is it not fair then to assume the purveyors of initial lies about such important history must continue lying. Manipulating people's minds demands more lies to cover the first.
If traveling deceived by a signpost pointing you in the wrong direction, good folks along the way correct this error. In contrast, historical lies demands more and more deception through time. How many times have your children come home asking about Mayflower Compact? Or the Declaration of Independence? How many times have they told you they are learning of the immortal concept that we are endowed by our Creator with unalienable inherent rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Without independence, our liberty is in peril. This 4th of July let us accept this challenge to liberty by working to emphatically demand that our elected representatives do more than just wave the flag on Independence Day, but use their votes to stand up for it. We must elect Americans who believe in Independence. Vote out of office those who solicit your vote with a smile and then promote globalism. Vote out of office all those who refuse to support Congressman Chip Roy's HB 1448 and Senator Mike Lee's S. 669 to get us out of the United Nations. Stand in the gap between freedom and slavery, Use the JBS legislative alert at https://gojt/p6y5 to preserve Independence Day.
