Woman seriously injured in early morning Merrimack crash

MERRIMACK - Firefighters worked for more than an hour early today extricating a woman from her vehicle that veered off the F.E. Everett Turnpike and crashed into woods.

The crash occurred around 4:25 a.m. in the area of mile marker 13.2.

Police say the woman was headed northbound when her 2002 Cadillac Deville left the roadway and struck multiple trees.

Merrimack Firefighters worked on the vehicle for over an hour before they were able to free the driver.

The woman was transported to the Elliot Hospital with serious injuries.
