MILTON - Chase Picard is not a shy wallflower. This second-grader is not afraid to talk about his life - and what a life!

Chase is the Milton Elementary School Star Student of the Month.

Chase is the oldest of five children: Lyric is in first grade, Silas is in kindergarten, Azlyn attends preschool at the Milton Learning Center, and Siena is almost 3.

Chase notes that family life is never quiet: Silas gets into Chase's room to play with Chase's toys. Chase notes that Silas suffers the "consequence" of this action by getting bopped with a pillow. Silas also wakes Chase up every morning at 6:30.

Sienna has decided that there is no value in antagonizing Chase, but Lyric climbs trees and jumps on Chase when he walks by ("Nice hat" says Silas). Do the parents give up? Not yet, there are many warm moments as well. Chase noted that he gave his favorite blanket to his brother when Silas was born. Silas and Chase often play together as well. Dad often fixes things that are broken by the siblings and Mom makes delicious rolls to keep everyone quiet and happy.

Chase is noticed at school as well. Mrs. Carle, Chase’s teacher, is proud to have him in her class. Chase notes that he is not overly interested in classwork, but is an avid reader. He loves chapter books and is currently reading The Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.
