Two city men charged with dumping tires along Rochester roads were both found guilty this week in Rochester District Court.

Todd Saylor, 28, of 24a Lafayette St., and Justin Nadeau, 25, of 24b Lafayette St., were fined $500 apiece, with $250 suspended if they stay out of trouble for a year, it was ruled at their Monday court appearance.

The two men were cutting off the rubber, selling the rims as scrap and dumping what was left along city roadways.

Areas of the city the pair dumped the leftover rubber included Chesley Hill Road and near the Baxter State Park boat launch.

A police investigation revealed that Saylor and Nadeau were not part of any larger-scale dumping operation.
