DOVER, N.H. - An East Rochester man along with an accomplice from Farmington have been indicted by a Strafford County grand jury in the June armed robbery and home invasion of a wheelchair-bound man.

Jonathan Bolz, 33, of 131A Milton Road, and Daniel Springer, 32, of 5 Haywagon Road, Farmington, are charged with robbing the individual at gunpoint. According to court documents, Bolz combed the man’s apartment for prescription drugs, while Springer held an air soft gun that the victim could have thought was a real gun.

Air soft guns typically fire plastic bullets propelled by a spring or gas-propelled mechanism and are not considered lethal.

Both Bolz and Springer face felony charges that could land them in prison for 7 1/2 to 15 years. They are set to be arraigned on the charges in Strafford County Superior Court later this month.

An earlier address on Springer had him residing in Sanford, Maine, from where he was apprehended on a fugitive from justice charge to face the New Hampshire charges.

The June 27 case drew outrage from the public as Bolz and Springer allegedly posed as police officers before breaking into the Portland Street home which they ransacked looking for drugs as the wheelchair-bound resident was held at gunpoint.

They two allegedly ended up stealing a supply of prescription medication, including oxycodone.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to move forward to trial.
