Three hurt in Rochester collision

ROCHESTER - Three area women were injured on Wednesday in a two-car collision at the intersection of Route 11 and the northbound Exit 15 Spaulding ramp that leads onto Farmington Road.

In a press release, Rochester Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that around 2 p.m. a 1994 Ford Ranger, driven by Jennifer Rothwell, 32, of 174 David Drive, Wakefield, was travelling east on Farmington Road when her vehicle struck a northbound vehicle turning left on Farmington Road from the Spaulding ramp. 

The northbound vehicle was a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Marie Reed, 75, of 293 Charles St., Farmington. 

Reed, her passenger, Deborah Reed, 57, of 314 Charles St, Farmington and Rothwell were all transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what are described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

 Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to extensive damage.  Farmington Road was closed for several hours during the investigation. 

The Strafford Technical Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision.  

The Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation, to call Officer Ball at the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
